The new Extra 300L (low wing) has received FAA and Transport Canada certification in the normal and aerobatic categories. Similar to the 300, the "L" model has the wing lowered for improved visibility and ease in the installation of full IFR instrument panels. The main fuselage structure, wings, tail etc. are similar to the current 300 which is still in production. The seats in the 300L have been redesigned to increase comfort and may be covered in leather as well.

A number of small improvements are also incorporated in the design including all composite side and belly panels. Flight characteristics are similar to the current 300 in all respects. The 300L displays improved snap roll characteristics, both inside and outside, and the rate of roll is slightly faster than the current 300.

This is NOT a vintage war-bird and it has NOT been used by any military in the Golden Years to train their personnel. Under the guidance of our leading-edge Fighter Combat International Instructors, this IS one of the only commercial aircraft available that allows you to experience the performance of a modern generation fighter.

Fighter Combat International has chosen the Extra 300L from Aero Sport, Inc. to perform all aspects of its fixed-base and air show operations. Used extensively throughout the world for aerobatic competition, the Extra 300L is also popular among both solo and team air show performers.

The Extra 300L is powered by the 300 Hp Lycoming AEIO 540-L1B5 engine, giving it the ability to fly from hovering speeds to a fast stage-transiting speed of 250 mph (400+ kilometers per hour). A maximum roll rate in excess of 340 degrees per second, coupled with a body-crunching +/- 10 "G" Load Factor and 3200 feet per minute climb rate make the German-built Extra 300L the right aircraft to promote flight safety and the thrill of aviation. With each of our aircraft valued at more than CAN $420,000 (US $300,000), the flying pleasure of this aircraft is simply undescribable.

Being the only company to modify this amazing machine for aerial combat entertainment, Fighter Combat International has the most capable and maneuverable commercial dogfighter anywhere.

Added features to the Fighter Combat International aircraft include:

  • Opposing paint schemes on the two aircraft allow easy recognition of "who's who in the zoo;" the Fighter representing the hero in patriotic red, white and blue while the Bandit opposes all that is good in a a high-visibility red camouflaged scheme.
  • An integrated weapons system provided by: Schwartz Electro-Optics, Inc., Weapons Simulation Division
  • A four camera video package to allow customers and the media to experience authentic dogfight scenarios
  • The proven smoke system of the Extra 300L highlights the Fighter Combat International aircraft in action.
